The Younique Boutique is family owned company operating out of San Diego, California. All of our merchandise is made by hand here in our studio. Every item you see on our site is created by artisans just for you. Most of our work is custom made-to-order. The watercolor paintings are hand-painted by artist Ruthie Friedman. Photographs must be submitted via the mail and be no smaller than 4 x 6. The photo is then composed as a drawing on top quality watercolor paper. The color palette is selected and the painting is created. Please allow 2-4 weeks for delivery. If you need the painting sooner, contact us and we can make special arrangements. The signature mat and frame kit is shipped with everything you need to create a wonderful photo keepsake. We use high quality, American made wooden frames, archival double cut mats and glass. House pictures and Recipe for a Happy Marriage Pictures are created by artist Elaine Rock in her New York studio. Each print is personalized with family member names and dates. Our ceramic guest book platters are imported from Italy and fired here in our studio. Each platter is hand painted to your specifications and personalized with your names and date. Guests sign with a special marker and you fire the platter in your home oven to safely adhere the signatures. Our photo quilts are handmade by quilters in Missouri. The quilts are then sent to our studio where we scan in your photos, size them, make them black and white and retouch any imperfections. Using a unique printing process, each photo is printed onto a heavy, plastic transfer paper. A commercial heat press is used to transfer the photos onto the quilt. Your photos are returned unharmed with your order. The custom wedding ring bearer pillows and flower girl baskets are hand-sewn here at our studio. The designs you see in our gallery are all one-of-a-kind creations available no where else. When you select a style, color and accents, your pillow and basket are created just for you. We don't keep inventory on this line - they are all custom sewn-to-order. We use only the finest materials, ribbons and accents to ensure that your pillow and basket are true keepsakes that will endure the generations. Family portrait platters are hand-painted and fired in our studio. Using details supplied by you, we hand-paint each figure to represent the real person. We add first names and your choice of inscription. Many little details and touches can easily be added to make each figure closely resemble your family friends (for instance a wheelchair or a navy cap). Our line of designer bridal tiaras, halos jewelry and combs are designed by Marcia. All work is completed in our partner studio using only the highest quality materials. Each piece is made to order to your exact specifications using rare and hard to find vintage pieces of Austrian Swarovski crystal, fresh water pearl and Czech Republic glass beads.
