Being oneself and freely talking about life in general. What secret would you never have considered telling someone on a first date? Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or why not? No. Yes physical attractions at first site can happen, but the most beautiful person may be worse choice for a lasting friend or mate. True love which includes one’s choice to love a person. I believe that you have to share many basic beliefs in faith and life. Differences are normal but the basics beliefs are required. If a true friendship blooms, and God’s love is set forth in the relationship then marriage and erotic love would then be added. What are you looking for in an ideal match? One who shares many of the same beliefs and values I’ve stated above. I’m open to the other person ideas and thoughts, for I don’t have all the right answers. A good practicing attitude is a good start. One writing about "Attitude" I read by Charles Swindoll follows. The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skills. It will make or break a company...a church...a home. The remarkable things is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you. we are in charge of our attitudes. Similar to my beliefs but not necessarily the exact same. The basics are required such as the Bible is the Word of God, and the Lord Jesus Christ is the only savior to way in life and to heaven.
