Ernst and pragmatic with an aw-shucks, gee-whiz, Midwestern sentiment. Intelligent and irreverrent with high ideals yet grounded goals. I enjoy Woody Allen films, the NY Times, and PBS. Prone to listening and getting nostalgic about last month. I am well traveled. I 've been to Detroit. I am a prolific letter writer. The last letter I wrote was to Procter and Gamble to complain that Dial "Fresh Montain" soap smells a lot like Dial "Spring Water" soap. I asked them to run some tests. I have been charcterized as sarcastic and a bit of a cynic but I still hold out for idealism. My haircut was inspired by a 1950s hygiene video. I still confuse Bill Paxson with Bill Pullman and would not recommend their movies to those I cared about. I guess I want to meet a girl who hates the same things I do: empathy, ignorance, and sticky floors. I find Reality TV odious but must confess that I don't know what Ashley was thinking when choosing Brad. I am an ardent vegetarian between the hours of 2am and 11am. My fridge contains French onion dip, FIJI bottle water, and a big hunk of cheese with a bite out of it. I have recently found myself listening to light rock (mainly female artists). My interest in sports is beginning to wane. Generally, I support the arts but not the guy who lives above me and plays the guitar all hours of the night. I collect quotes. I attempt to employ an intellibible vocabulary accompanied with tactful (often exhalted) hand gestures. Affable, pithy, with a bookish manner, I recognize the virtue of subtly. I don't ware jewelry, shirts with logos, or fannel. I dress like a grown up. By the way, I believe strongly in being kind and displaying good manners before others. And inasmuchas I expound intellectualism, I can succumb to a sappy romantic fool for the right girl.
